Requirements for Certificate of Good Conduct in Kenya
1. General Requirements
To begin your application, you must have the following:
- Active eCitizen Account: You must be able to log in to ecitizen.go.ke.
- Original Identification: A second-generation National ID card (for adults) or a Birth Certificate (for minors).
- Application Fee: Ksh 1,050 (Ksh 1,000 for the certificate and Ksh 50 for the eCitizen convenience fee).
2. Specific Requirements for Minors
If you are applying for a child under the age of 18:
- Original and a photocopy of the Birth Certificate.
- The child must be present for fingerprinting.
- The application is done through the parent’s or guardian’s eCitizen account.
3. The Online Application Process
- Log in to eCitizen: Navigate to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) link.
- Fill the Form: Select “Police Clearance Certificate” and fill in the required personal details.
- Choose Fingerprint Location: Select the station most convenient for you (e.g., DCI Headquarters, a specific Huduma Centre, or a Divisional DCI office).
- Make Payment: Pay via M-Pesa, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
- Download and Print: Print two copies of the invoice and one copy of the C24 Form (printed on both sides of a single A4 paper).
4. Fingerprint Submission
Once the online part is done, you must visit your selected station with:
